ABOUT THE UTAH CHAPTER ATDUtah ATD - Established in 1952Chartered in 1952 as the Utah Personnel Training Association, the Utah ATD is the local chapter of The Association for Talent Development. The Utah Chapter of ATD is an ATD Chapter of Excellence, recognized as a regional association for workplace performance professionals. The chapter provides members with a forum for professional development opportunities and resources to improve the workplace learning and performance industry. The Utah Chapter holds monthly professional development and networking events. The big event of the year is the annual conference held in the Spring, where workplace learning professionals from around the state gather for a full day event. The Association for Talent Development (ATD - Name Changed in 2014 from The American Society for Training and Development ASTD), founded in 1944, is the world's premier professional association and leading resource on workplace learning and performance issues. ATD provides information, research, analysis and practical information derived from its own research, the knowledge and experience of its members, its conferences, seminars, publications and partnerships. National ATD membership includes more than 70,000 people working in the field of workplace performance in more than 100 countries worldwide.
