Volunteering with Utah ATD is one of the best ways to connect with fellow professionals, give back to the learning community, and grow your leadership experience. Whether you’re looking to expand your network, build new capabilities, or prepare for a future board role — volunteering is where it begins.

Our chapter offers opportunities for all levels of commitment — from short-term committee work to multi-year board leadership. Every role helps shape the success of Utah ATD and strengthens our mission to empower learning and talent development professionals across the state.

BOARD MEMBER

2-Year Commitment

Expectations

- Maintain active ATD National membership
- Attend quarterly strategy meetings (in-person)
- Attend 80% of bi-weekly board meetings (virtual)
- Participate in the Annual Utah ATD Conference
- Lead and deliver on assigned functional responsibilities
- Dedicate 10–15 hours per month
- Recruit and support committee members

COMMITTEE MEMBER

1-Year Commitment

Expectations

- Support projects and goals defined by your Committee Chair
- Attend monthly committee meetings
- Join special meetings as needed
- Dedicate 5–10 hours per month
