If you have a session that’s relevant, engaging, and genuinely valuable to the workplace learning and performance community, we’d love to hear from you. Submit a proposal to the Utah ATD Professional Development Committee for consideration.

About Our Community Events

Presentations are the heart of our monthly community events, which run throughout the year.

Session formats and timing

  • Virtual sessions: Up to 60 minutes

  • In-person sessions: 90 minutes total

    • 30 minutes for lunch and networking

    • 60 minutes for the presentation or workshop

All sessions should be interactive and encourage active participation. Strong proposals typically include elements such as:

  • Case study presentations with facilitated discussion

  • Hands-on workshops where participants practice and apply skills

  • Panel discussions featuring multiple perspectives

The Utah ATD community come from a wide range of roles and experience levels across the learning and performance field, including:

  • Trainers and facilitators

  • Organizational development practitioners

  • Human resource professionals

  • Instructional designers

  • Managers and executives

  • Internal and external consultants

What to Know If Selected

Please review the following before submitting your proposal:

  • Utah ATD is a nonprofit, educational association and does not offer monetary or in-kind compensation for presenters.

  • Presenters receive complimentary registration for the event.

  • All travel, lodging, meals, and any special equipment purchases or rentals are the presenter’s responsibility.

  • Utah ATD creates and distributes promotional materials for events and may edit submitted information for clarity or consistency.

  • In-person locations or virtual meetings are open 30 minutes prior to the program for presenter setup.

  • Virtual events are hosted on Zoom and are recorded. Recordings may be shared with registrants or uploaded to our members-only content library.

  • Overt sales pitches or promotion of products and services are not permitted.

  • Personal Recording (video, audio, or otherwise) is prohibited unless prior approval is granted by the Professional Development Committee.
